We Handle All Dental Emergencies
Not sure if your situation is an emergency? Call us anyway. We'd rather reassure you than have you in pain.
Severe Toothache
Sudden, intense tooth pain can signal infection or nerve damage. Don't wait — call us immediately. We'll see you the same day and provide rapid pain relief.
Broken or Chipped Tooth
A fractured tooth can worsen quickly and become painful. Save any pieces if possible, rinse gently, and call us — we can often repair it in a single visit.
Knocked-Out Tooth
Time is critical. Handle the tooth by the crown (not the root), rinse gently, and either place it back in the socket or keep it moist in milk. Call us immediately — a tooth reimplanted within an hour has the best chance of survival.
Lost Filling or Crown
An exposed tooth is vulnerable and sensitive. If possible, place the crown back temporarily with dental cement from a pharmacy. Call us promptly — we'll restore it properly as soon as possible.
Dental Abscess
A dental abscess is a serious infection that requires urgent treatment. Signs include severe pain, swelling, fever, and a pimple-like bump on the gums. This is a dental emergency — call us right away.
Soft Tissue Injury
Cuts, tears, or lacerations to the lips, gums, cheeks, or tongue should be cleaned gently and pressure applied to control bleeding. If bleeding doesn't stop or the wound is severe, come in or go to emergency.
Emergency FAQs
What counts as a dental emergency?
Any dental situation causing severe pain, swelling, bleeding, or risk of losing a tooth is an emergency. This includes: severe toothache, dental abscess, knocked-out or broken tooth, lost crown or filling causing pain, jaw trauma, and significant bleeding. When in doubt — call us. We'd rather hear from you and reassure you than have you suffer unnecessarily.
How quickly can you see me?
We reserve dedicated emergency appointment slots every day. When you call, we triage your situation over the phone and get you in as fast as possible — most emergencies are seen the same day, often within hours of calling.
What should I do if a tooth gets knocked out?
Act fast — time is critical. Pick up the tooth by the crown (white part), not the root. Rinse it gently with water (don't scrub). Try to place it back in the socket. If you can't, keep it moist in milk, saliva, or saline solution. Call us immediately. A tooth reimplanted within 30–60 minutes has the highest chance of survival.
Do you charge extra for emergency appointments?
We bill standard fees for emergency treatment — there's no emergency surcharge. We also do our best to direct-bill your insurance so you pay as little as possible out-of-pocket on the day of your emergency.
